Beyond smart glasses, the Reality Elite targets a significant upgrade for VR headsets, boasting up to 60% higher GPU performance, 30% increased CPU performance, and a remarkable 160% boost in NPU performance compared to the previous XR2 Gen 2 chip found in devices like the Meta Quest 3.

These performance enhancements are expected to unlock new possibilities for XR content, including VR gaming at an impressive 4.4K resolution per eye at 90 frames per second. For AR applications, improved video see-through (VST) technology will minimize latency and enhance image quality, allowing digital elements to seamlessly integrate with the real world.
