Orderful, a pioneering force in modernizing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), has announced the successful completion of a $35 million Series C funding round. This substantial investment was led by Koch Disruptive Technologies, with ongoing participation from NewRoad Capital, signaling a strong belief in Orderful's vision to transform the decades-old EDI landscape. The company's CEO, Erik Kiser, articulated that the EDI system, despite its foundational role in global trade for over 40 years, has remained fundamentally flawed due to an entrenched business model that profits from its complexity. This new capital is set to dismantle this legacy, fostering a more efficient and less costly approach to data exchange.

A core element of Orderful's strategy is its AI-native EDI solution, Mosaic, which was launched in December 2025. Mosaic directly challenges the traditional service model by automating the manual mapping tasks that typically consume extensive IT resources. Grace Sharkey, Orderful's PR and Comms manager, highlighted that Mosaic reads trading partner specifications, automatically generates compliant guidelines and maps, and adapts them as requirements evolve. This dramatically reduces the time required for partner onboarding from several months to less than a week, rendering the traditional, costly service fees largely obsolete. Early adopters, such as KBX Logistics, NFI, and Heartland Logistics Group, have reported significant reductions in onboarding times and improved operational efficiencies, demonstrating the tangible benefits of Orderful's innovative approach.

The impact of Orderful's technology extends beyond the logistics sector, with companies like Every Man Jack experiencing remarkable improvements. Their on-time delivery rates, which had plummeted under a previous provider, rebounded significantly after integrating Orderful's platform. This underscores the widespread potential of AI to streamline and optimize critical business processes. The capital infusion will enable Orderful to further advance its technology, particularly in data visibility and intelligence, and expand its commercial partnerships, driving a future where EDI operates as a seamless, self-optimizing infrastructure rather than a complex service requiring constant human intervention. This evolution promises to unlock greater efficiency and innovation across various industries.

Orderful's commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence to simplify and optimize complex systems exemplifies forward-thinking innovation. By challenging established, inefficient models, they are paving the way for a new era of operational excellence, empowering businesses to achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency and connectivity in an increasingly digital world.
