Remarkably, Tree's producer, Victor WAO, narrowly avoided being on the ill-fated flight. The crash occurred on Sunday morning over Recreio dos Bandeirantes, where two helicopters collided, resulting in no survivors. The victims included Oliver Tree, Lucas Frota, Lucas Vignale, Argentinian YouTuber Gaspar Prim (also known as Gaspi), and pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac. Oliver Tree had gained significant recognition for his viral 2017 track, "When I'm Down." Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collision, which also set ablaze at least 20 cars at the crash site in an electric vehicle yard.
The incident has also prompted Oliver Tree's girlfriend, Fiona Chernavskaya, to speak out about her grief.
