Jeep has revealed its latest additions to the 'Twelve 4 Twelve' series, introducing the 2027 Wrangler Sarge and 2027 Gladiator Sarge. These special edition off-roaders are designed to evoke the brand's rich heritage, drawing profound inspiration from the iconic 1941 Willys MB military vehicle. While retaining the robust engineering of their standard counterparts, these Sarge models primarily offer aesthetic enhancements, celebrating Jeep's storied past with unique visual cues.
The exterior of the Sarge editions is distinguished by a '41 Green paint finish, directly referencing the original Willys. This military-inspired color scheme is complemented by an option for a matching green or contrasting white grille surround, allowing for a personalized touch. Further stylistic elements include a special hood decal, military-style star decals adorning the doors, and bronze tow hooks for a rugged appeal. The wheels, steel Rubicon Rock Rails, and hardtop are also finished in '41 Green, with an alternative white paint option for the roof to harmonize with the grille. Inside, the cabin features a blend of Drab Green and Cattle Tan Nappa leather, with the latter being a new offering from Jeep. The seats and instrument panel are upholstered in Soul Cloth, accented with Mayan Gold stitching. Historical callbacks are evident through a 1941 cup holder plaque, a star medallion on the shift knob, a Jeep grille logo on the HVAC system, and a distinctive plaque on the rear swing gate. These specialized appearance packages will be available for both Willys and Rubicon variants, in two-door and four-door configurations.
The Sarge editions are scheduled for release later this summer. Although specific pricing details for the packages were not disclosed, Jeep indicated that the Wrangler Sarge would be priced approximately $100 above similarly equipped Willys or Rubicon models, while the Gladiator Sarge would incur an additional cost of about $500 compared to its standard counterparts. These models represent a blend of historical reverence and contemporary off-road capability, designed for enthusiasts who appreciate a classic military aesthetic.
The introduction of the Sarge editions reflects Jeep's commitment to honoring its foundational legacy while continuing to innovate within the off-road vehicle market. These vehicles embody a spirit of adventure and resilience, reminding us that true heritage can inspire modern advancements and enrich the consumer experience.
